Hybrid Hosting Model:
The Champions Trophy will follow a hybrid hosting model, introduced after negotiations between India and Pakistan. This model ensures that matches between India and Pakistan in ICC tournaments are held at neutral venues when hosted by either country.
This arrangement extends to other tournaments as well, including the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup, hosted by India, and the 2026 T20 World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Pakistan will not play in India for these tournaments, with their matches also being held at neutral venues.
Pakistan has secured hosting rights for the 2028 T20 World Cup, with the hybrid model expected to apply to this event as well.
The Champions Trophy promises to deliver intense cricketing action, with fans eagerly anticipating the high-stakes encounters, especially the epic India-Pakistan clash.
